ICT as situating tool
Situating tools are the applications that help to situate learner’s in an environment to experience the context and happenings.
Experience before simulation
Before beginning the lesson we are asked to look for simulation that can help to teach any concept from the primary curriculum. Initially I had a vague idea on simulation, I thought simulation as creating one slide ppt incorporating all the points in one slide.
Experience after simulation
However, after attending class on simulation and making simulation on advertising our village. I got clear idea on simulation and how this act as situating tool. Besides, in this lesson I have learnt to plot a graph just by looking at the equation.

For eg: y=mx+c (linear Equation)
          
            Y=-2x+5

Positive 5 will show the intersection of line in the y axis.

-2x is called slope, and negative will move to left direction and if it is positive it will move to right 

direction .

And to find the intersection on x axis we have to replace y as 0

i.e., : 0= -2x+5

              2x=5
            
              x=5/2
              x= 2.1 
           


This retrieved me with a flashback from my school days. Now I can proudly say that I can plot the graph without the need of the variables. I enjoyed the follow up activity where sir made us to draw the graph without using the computer. At first we used Graphc calc as a situating tool to plot graph. Using Graphic calc was interesting where we just have to enter the equation and the graph is automatically generated there. I even thought if something like this would have been taught in school days then we could have learnt it easily.

Reflection
After learning simulation I got a clear idea of using ICT as situating tool. I found this very effective for learners. When I was using pH scale situating tool, and Google map I enjoyed using it and motivated me to explore more. So I felt that it is very informative and effective to the learners. I thought if atlas were taught using Google map, I think I won’t be that bad in locating place and calculating time in geography.

Future Commitment
When I get enrolled as a teacher in one of the school, I am going to focus on achieving optimum utilization of ICT in learning. There I am going to integrate ICT in my lesson especially the situating tool to help learner achieve learning efficiency. Moreover, I would extract every opportunity to make use of ICT as a primary tools to make my students an enthusiast learners.

Facebook as co-constructive tool

In this lesson sir created class group in Facebook where we have to uploads our video works for comment and like. In that we uploaded our video generated using camtesia software. Making video using camtesia itself was an exploring quest towards learning and experiential journey in achieving ICT mandate.

Going through whole sets of different videos was at time challenging as well as interesting experiences. There we can view how different ideas are creatively elaborated through video presentation. Watching video was full of learning as different individual had beautifully and creatively incorporated their ideas into video. Moreover, commenting each other works creates platform to detect our mistakes and make immediate correction.
Therefore, incorporating such learning in Facebook came out to be significant one as to bring out different ideas and knowledge together. Beside it was inclusive in nature that it helps in building confident of students facing camera and immediate correction can be done without wasting much of time. Thus, Facebook not only helps in learning collaboratively but also it helps in making quality and informative works.

Google Doc as co-constructive tool

ICT as co-constructive tool
Co-constructive tool are the applications that supports the construction of knowledge through a shared understanding.

In this lesson our main focus was on google doc. It was totally a new learning for me. We can work on a single document with teammates. We can also invite people through email for editing, view or comment option. We can even chat and discuss about our document. I found it very informative and in fact an experiential one.

After going through Google doc, I felt that if an only all the assignment assigned in group were made to do in Google doc, then only it would be fair enough for the entire students. And the plus point is it helps the student to learn collaboratively and helps in exchanging ideas and knowledge ensuing individual capacity and growth.

Now the generation sets on technologies especially ICT becomes the immediate need for all the students. Therefore with the emergence of importance in ICT, hereafter I will make the student to use Google doc, as it is not only easy to bring all the ideas together but also helps the student and teacher learn collaboratively.

ICT as Constructive tool.


Continuation of constructive tool
 In this lesson we were ask to create a video tutorial by using Camtasia. Camtasia is video editing software, where we can record the presentation, ourselves and edit the video and produce it.

Faced challenges

For that, firstly I worked on lesson plan on class pp mathematics; fraction as a part. I created presentation and kept everything ready for the recording. Then I downloaded the camtasia studio six from the link shared in vle by sir. Downloading was successful , then I tried to record and  edit but unfortunately the video wasn’t appearing on the timeline , I tried three to four times but it dint work . I watched you tube to fix that but I dint get any solution. I asked friends and learned that it was working in their laptop.

I saw video tutorial showing how to download camtasia 2019 on you tube.  With a little hope, I downloaded camtasia 2019. The downloading was successful, and then when I recorded, the software needed key by logging into their software by email. I tried many times but it was not working then I deleted the entire camtasia studios that were installed in my laptop. Then I tried to install once again the camtasia 2019. After downloading same was the problem.

I clicked this when i was uninstalling both the camtasia  Studio.



I tried it many times and I tried to get idea from net and you tube but everything failed. Then finally I thought to discuss with my friends. One of my friends told me that camtasia studio 8 works well. I downloaded the camtasia studio 8. And finally it did work and I worked on recording, importing and editing my video.

Feedback
  I feel that this software is much effective and worth to learn. I have always feared public presentation, standing all alone and talking nonsense in front people. I don’t think I have that courage to stand all alone and present. If I ever get an opportunity to do the presentation in public, I am never going to miss the opportunity of using it. I will confidently use the camtasia and present my video rather than presenting myself. So For me, this software is a warrior against my weakness.

ICT as constructive tool
Constructive tool are the applications that help learners to manipulate information, visualize ones understanding and construct one own knowledge.


Under this lesson I have learned to make one slide simulation using power point. We were asked to make simulation advertising our village. It seem interesting and fun to learn details about my village. I felt motivated to approach new experience and creating a simulation of my village would be milestone opportunity for me to explore. Under the guidance of my parents I came to know about several sacred sites of my village. For the simulation, I specified several Sacred sites of my village; Tashi Yangtse.

At first it was difficult to make simulation in one slide as It demands too much of concentration and carefulness. If I make one single mistake then I have to go back all the way to that particular image where I made mistake. For that I was deleting all the images and animation lying infront. After doing it again I came to know about selection pane, it helped me to edit the previous image without the need of deleting other. It also helped me to edit like reordering the animations and editing the time of the animations. Thats how i had tackle the flaws and experienced new learning.






I enjoyed creating simulation; inserting my own voice, music and my own description. I did feel the sense of satisfaction when I have completed making simulation using one presentation slide. It was completely new learning for me and  i felt it's indispensable to practice in day to day life as a teacher to impart some knowledge precisely rather then simply lecturing in the class.

ICT as communicative tool.

 In this lesson I learned that there are two types of communication. One is known as synchronous and another is asynchronous.
Synchronous: also called real time, in which users must be simultaneously connected, rather like a telephone call.

Asynchronous: not requiring the people communicating to be logged on the internet at the same time.

From many examples our focus was on blog.  We have watched the video tutorial on how to create the blog which was uploaded in the vle by sir. After that we have discussed with sir in the vle whereby sir helped us to clarify our doubt using vle as a tool for our discussion.  From here we can clearly make out how ict serve as communicative tool, especially in sorting out doubts and comprehending concepts.

Feed back
It was fun and totally new learning for me. However my biggest concern was coming up with good write up to attract viewer and living up to their expectation. Beside I am also worried about maintaining consistency of my write up as with the time pass in time it’s really hard for us to take out extra time in maintaining blog from other given works which requires equal attention. On the other hand writing and maintaining blog is additional back up in keeping track of our existing knowledge and strengthening our intellectual growth whereby living an inspiration for new learner.

ICT as informative tool

I am going to write something that I have learned in lesson” ICT as informative tool “. When we say ICT, I was referring it to the computer, internet and only phones. But after this lesson I came to know that ICT includes any communication device or application encompassing radio, television, cellular phones, computer and network hardware and software, satellite systems and so on, as well as the various services and applications associated with them such as video conferencing and distance.

 I learned that ICT as an informative tool, it provides us with an information/ reference/ content. It helps us to analyze, synthesize and manipulate the information. It even helps us to construct the knowledge and meaning of our own. There are several advantages of using ICT as informative tools. It helps us to learn to integrate relevant ideas, to analyze information, develop information search skills, and enhance critical thinking and to evaluate resources on the internet.

Under this lesson we were made to make a presentation slide on Doklam crisis.  So for that I searched information from various sources. I tried to find the information which was authentic, reliable, and current and objectives. Then I even pointed out some of my own points. I got all the information from internet, thus proving ICT as informative tool.
